  12. This program can help increase the overall speed of your Internet connection by up to 300%!
  13. It does this by modifying the Windows default settings for data transfer over a network.

  15. You may use the "Automatic" button, and it will compute the optimal settings
  16. based on the type of connection you have specified.

  18. Or you may use the "Advanced" button, and tell the system exactly what you want done.

  20. Though the actual speed limit of your modem speed cannot be increased, the 
  21. efficiency that your modem transfers data can be improved.  So, though the modem 
  22. connection speed displayed (eg 28800 bps) when you connect to the Internet may appear 
  23. unchanged, you should notice a significant speed increase in your Internet activities.

  25. Not all Internet connections are alike.  Therefore, the recommended settings may not be 
  26. quite right for your connection. If you do not notice a speed increase, you can try going 
  27. back and tweaking the values for the various settings a bit until you reach an optimum 
  28. speed.
